Surface drives have been around for quite awhile, but they seem to be gaining more popularity. This is from video taken during a record setting run last year on the Lake of the Ozarks, in Missouri. The entire run was filmed but I captured this portion because I thought it was a cool shot of the surface drives in action. The interaction with the shutter speed of the camera gives a great view into what is actually happening at full ventilation. Yes, only half of the prop is in the water, but that is the idea. Very cool perspective.
